National Waterfront Museum Swansea National Museums & Galleries of Wales

Location: Swansea
Services: Exhibition Construction Management
Value: £6.2 Million
Completion: 2005

This multi award winning museum, completed in 2005, deals with Wales’ history of industrial revolution and innovation. The museum is in two parts and the exhibitions are housed in both the Museum’s original Grade II listed warehouse and a new building, whose design requirements were coordinated to specifically accommodate them. The exhibitions feature a significant volume of collections and sophisticated multimedia, and the museum is one of the first to feature multi lingual voice overs and brail.

The exhibitions also feature a number of large-scale restored working machines, ranging between 5 and 33 tons, the entire integration and installation of which were managed by Fraser Randall.
