At Home in Renaissance Italy
Victoria & Albert Museum, London
2006, £750k
Fraser Randall was appointed by the Victoria
& Albert Museum as the exhibition Project Manager for the At
Home in Renaissance Italy exhibition.
The exhibition
provided an innovative three-dimensional view of the Italian Renaissance
home, presented as de-constructed object-filled spaces that brought
the period to life. The exhibition showcased masterpieces by Donatello,
Carpaccio, Botticelli, Titian and Veronese, and exquisite treasures
from the Medici and other private collections, alongside unexpected
everyday objects like a babywalker and a pair of velvet shoes.
Fraser Randall oversaw the design, procurement
and implementation of the works and brought the project in on time
and below the budget available.
