The National Charter Monument
Royal Court of Bahrain
Kingdom of Bahrain
2010
Fraser Randall was appointed as the Projector Manager, Cost Consultant and Planning Supervisor for this new National museum, the second only to be constructed in Bahrain.
The museum was commissioned “to Celebrate the relationship between His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa and the people of Bahrain; and to honour the National Charter, the basis for Bahrain's path to the future”, and was inaugurated by the King on the 14th February 2010.
An interpretive museum on this scale has never before been seen in the region before, and it features the latest multi-media technologies and high-end interactive display systems to create a new international standard for the museum experience in Bahrain.
Fraser Randall worked closely with the Client to develop content, and determine narratives, artifacts and objects for the displays.
FR was also responsible for the procurement of the exhibition fit out works, and worked closely with the Ministry of Works to tender for a team that combined the knowledge, expertise and quality required for specialist museum works, and also complied with local employment regulations.
