Flying Scotsman ExhibitionNational Railway Museum, York Fraser Randall was appointed by the National Railway Museum, York to act as the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, and Contract Administrator for the permanent exhibition of the legendary Flying Scotsman locomotive. The exhibition focuses on the stories intimately linked to the personal memories of thousands of people. The exhibition showcases the locomotive and carriage supported by innovative displays of model trains and a range of specially commissioned audiovisual displays, plus the ability to watch historic film footage of the Flying Scotsman and aspects of the service from the last eighty years. The exhibition was built to a fast track programme requiring careful coordination with several other new projects within the National Railway Museum which remained open throughout. |
