Treasury Galleries' Project

Science Museum, London
Due to open Autumn 2014


The Science Museum, London has appointed Fraser Randall as the project managerfor their ‘Treasury Galleries’ project. The project will, amongst other elements, consist oftwo permanent galleries that will occupy the heart of the Science Museum.

Fraser Randallwill manage both the concept and design development, as well as the internal and external consultants and design teams for the initial development phase due for completion next Autumn 2011.

The exhibition explores the importance of creativity, and imagination, in the scientific process. The emphasis will be on a visual and intellectual experience where ideas are represented through scientific apparatus and objects. There will be audio-visuals, multi-media, commissioned art works and archive material.

One of the main objectives is to make science accessible and focus on public engagement. Visitors will be given the opportunity to meet scientists, participate in talks and workshops and have a hand in developing exhibition content.

The project is due for Completion Autumn 2014 subject to successful funding application.
