Thinktank is the latest in the UK’s major science centres covering nearly 7000sqm and housing 10 major permanent galleries, spanning from future science and medicine to Birmingham’s social and industrial history story.

Fraser Randall was appointed as the Content and Programming Director to source, appoint, and manage, the Client’s internal curatorial resource, designers and external expert advisors. As well as creating the design briefs for the four exhibition design companies responsible for the exhibition design, Fraser Randall formed part of the Client’s executive management team.

In partnership with Buro Happold, Fraser Randall was later appointed as the Project and Construction Manager responsible for the implementation of all the exhibition and non-exhibition fit out works including the removal and relocation of the collection from the old museum to the new. Fraser Randall provided the specialist management resource plus the dedicated site management, and Buro Happold the commercial management.
