Myths & Monsters

Natural History Museum, London
1997, £500k

Fraser Randall was appointed as the Project and Design Manager for the Natural History Museum's most successful temporary summer exhibition where it attracted a record breaking 12,000 visitors in a single day. Specifically designed for touring, the exhibition is still traveling around Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The 500m/sq exhibition features eight display units including five animatronics and one static model of the world’s most enduring mythical creatures. Each model is accompanied by intriguing ‘science boxes’ containing replicas of specimens supporting the possible origins of the myth.
