Fraser Randall was appointed as the Construction Manager and Planning Supervisor by the Imperial War Museum to oversee the planning and construction of this prestigious new museum build project situated in the Grade 1 Listed Cabinet War Rooms, London.

This very high quality exhibition designed by Casson Mann includes highly detailed bespoke joinery elements with a wide array of diverse materials being used, including specialist glazing and concrete finishes. The exhibition also incorporates sophisticated audio visual features coupling software and hardware together, all aspects of which were construction managed by Fraser Randall. This includes a continuous 18m long interactive horizontal projection surface that necessitated the programme management of both evaluation and soak testing to ensure that the highly condensed site installation could be achieved.

Site construction and assembly processes needed to be thoroughly considered during the pre construction phase of the project to contend with extremely limited access, the ongoing operations of the adjacent museum, and the difficult working environment.
