Leonardo da Vinci: Experience,
Experiment and Design
Victoria & Albert Museum, London
Summer 2006, £750k
Fraser Randall was appointed by the
Victoria & Albert Museum
to act as the Project Manager for a World first exhibition to
display over sixty of Leonardo da Vinci’s original notebooks,
sketches and drawings to show the thinking behind some of his
most famous creations, and provide an insight into the mind of
one of the greatest artists ever known.
The minimalist display using the
highest quality showcases beneath a wall of video images was
created by Stanton Williams architects. These large format
projections show Leonardo’s drawings
brought to life through sophisticated animated illustrations,
introducing his work, and inviting the visitor in to take a closer
look at the fascinating detail of the drawings.
Fraser Randall worked closely with Stanton Williams to ensure
the smooth running of the exhibition design, the integration
of the animated illustrations and the appropriate implementation
of the high quality build works.
