The Dinosaur Gallery
Natural History Museum, London
1992,
£2.5 million
Nick Fraser was Design and Project Manager
of the famous Dinosaur Gallery, working in conjunction with the
museum’s paleontology and educational teams, and managing
the architectural and interior design teams numbering twelve in
total. Meticulous project management of the architects and careful
co-ordination with English Heritage was required for the interface
of the new structure into the grade 2 listed building. The management
of both statutory permissions and design development formed a crucial
part of the success of the project.
The 1200sqm Dinosaur Gallery has been credited
as the world’s most popular Dinosaur exhibition and is the
most visited exhibition within the museum.
