Fraser Randall was appointed as the Construction
Manager for the refurbishment of four new galleries and a Learning
Centre at this prestigious landmark in Greenwich Royal Park.
The Victorian building has been extended with
a contemporary addition and makes up a
key part of the World Heritage Site, and is London’s only planetarium.
Fraser Randall was responsible for the management
of the procurement and implementation works, where a blend of historical
object displays and hi-end multi media interactives are used to
bring a new interpretation to this fascinating subject.
The project schedule dictated that Fraser
Randall and the exhibition fit-out contractors were on site while
the base build works continued, and this required a particularly
close liaison with the other management teams and contractors to
work through the necessary daily interface issues.
