National Waterfront Museum,
Swansea
Swansea, Wales
2005, £6.2 million
Fraser Randall was appointed to construction
manage the specialist trade packages for this prestigious major
Welsh National Project.
The exhibition features a variety of collections
and exhibits, which are housed in a refurbished existing space and
also a specifically designed new bespoke building. The exhibition
includes large-scale objects, ranging between 5 and 33 tons, the
installation of which were undertaken by Fraser Randall, along with
all multi media & services trade packages. The integration of
the new build services and complex AV interactive exhibition displays
rested entirely with the Fraser Randall team and the works cost
for these features alone was £3million.
The museum
was opened by the First Minister of the Welsh Assembly on time and
on budget.
