Cutty Sark opened by HRH Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh

Her Majesty the Queen accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh officially reopened the Cutty Sark in Greenwich on the 25th April 2012. Fraser Randall undertook the Exhibition Fit Out Construction Management services for the project.

Revamped Kensington Palace opened by HRH Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh

Kensington Palace was reopened by Her Majesty The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on the 15th March 2012, after a £12 million revamp. Fraser Randall provided the design, project and cost management services for the development of the spaces.

The Palace is open to the public from the 26th March 2012.

 

June 2011

The Natural History Museum appoints Fraser Randall

Fraser Randall has been appointed as the Quantity Surveyor for the Treasures Gallery at the Natural History Museum, London. The gallery will be on the upper mezzzanine floor of the Central Hall.

Opening in 2012, the Treasures Gallery will house extraordinary museum specimens and natural history objects and be a permanent public gallery.

Florence Nightingale Museum

The Florence Nightingale Museum has been nominated for The European Museum of the Year 2011, which will be announced on 21 May 2011 in Bremerhaven, Germany. Fraser Randall was the exhibition construction and cost manager for the refurbishment of the Florence Nightingale Museum in the grounds of St Thomas' Hospital

Royal Atmosphere

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales officially opened ‘atmosphere: exploring climate science’ at the Science Museum on the 3rd December 2010. Fraser Randall acted as the Project Manager and Contract Administrator for the new climate science gallery within the Wellcome Wing at the Science Museum, London.

HRH The Prince of Wales was amongst the first to explore the new gallery which is a fresh and exciting way to make sense of the climate - the science of how it works, what’s happening now and what might happen in the future. His Royal Highness was shown around the gallery which is divided into five zones focusing on different areas of climate science through a rich variety of interactive exhibits and objects.

Life in Sutton

The Sutton Life Centre was officially opened by the Deputy Prime Minister on 27th October. As the Project and Design Manager for the fit out of this flagship citizen centre, Fraser Randall also acted as the Construction Manager in the management of all specialist sub contractors for this world class learning environment for young people and the wider community.

The Life Centre, the first purpose-built centre of its kind in the UK, puts children in virtually real scenarios, such as teenage drinking and facing up to bullying, so they can cope with the challenges of growing up and get involved in today’s society.

The centre has already been awarded the highest possible environmental rating.

The Safer Sutton Partnership Services has recently won the Suzy Lamplugh Trust’s prestigious Safer Community Award. The judges were impressed by the partnership’s “innovative approach to community safety”, through its work with the Sutton Life Centre.

The Science Museum appoints Fraser Randall

The Science Museum, London has appointed Fraser Randall as the Project Manager for their ‘Treasury Galleries’ project. The project will, amongst other elements, consist of two permanent galleries that will occupy the heart of the Science Museum.
Fraser Randall will manage both the concept and design development, as well as the internal and external consultants and design teams for the initial development phase due for completion next Autumn 2011.

The exhibition explores the importance of creativity, and imagination, in the scientific process. The emphasis will be on a visual and intellectual experience where ideas are represented through scientific apparatus and objects. There will be audio-visuals, multi-media, commissioned art works and archive material.

The project is due for Completion Autumn 2014 subject to successful funding application.
